Job Summary:
We are looking for a temporary Geography Teacher to join our team for a fixed term period. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Geography to secondary school students and must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge.
Responsibilities:
– Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students
– Assess and mark students’ work and provide feedback
– Monitor and track students’ progress and provide regular reports to parents and senior leaders
– Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the curriculum is delivered effectively
– Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources
– Ensure that the school’s policies and procedures are followed
Requirements:
– A degree in Geography or a related subject
– A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS)
– Experience of teaching Geography to secondary school students
– Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
– Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
– The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
