Ethos Education is recruiting a Design Technology Teacher for a secondary school in South East London. This is a permanent Design Technology teaching role starting in September 2026.
The school is looking for a Design Technology Teacher who can teach DT across KS3 and KS4. Applications are welcomed from teachers with specialisms including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, CAD/CAM or Design Engineering.
Design Technology is a valued subject within the school, supported by dedicated workshop facilities, specialist equipment and a curriculum that encourages creativity, problem solving and practical application.
The role
• Teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering practical and theory-based DT lessons
• Teaching Product Design, Resistant Materials or Engineering depending on specialism
• Supporting GCSE Design Technology outcomes
• Working within a collaborative DT department
• Contributing to enrichment and practical learning opportunities
The candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design or related subject
• Strong subject knowledge
• Ability to teach Design Technology at KS3 and KS4
• ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
