A secondary school in East Sussex is seeking a talented Design Technology Teacher to join its growing DT department from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Technology Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to specialist areas including Engineering, Product Design and Resistant Materials. Applications are welcomed from teachers with experience in any area of Design and Technology, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, CAD/CAM and Product Design.

The department is committed to developing creativity, technical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to design, innovate and think critically whilst gaining experience of real-world engineering and manufacturing principles.

The Role

• Full time, permanent Design Technology Teacher position

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Ability to teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Experience teaching Engineering, Product Design, Resistant Materials or related disciplines

• Strong practical and technical subject knowledge

• High expectations for behaviour and achievement

• A commitment to engaging, hands-on learning
