SEND Teaching Assistant role – ASAP start – North West London
This inclusive and vibrant primary school in Mill Hill has a SEND Teaching Assistant position available for an immediate start.
Joining a team of dedicated support staff, you will work collaboratively to ensure every child is encouraged, supported and able to reach their full potential within a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
As a SEND TA your duties will include:
- Supporting children with SEND within the classroom and in smaller groups outside of the classroom when necessary
- Working 1:1 with key children to support them to reach the targets on their EHCPs
- Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing
- Delivering learning interventions to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Closely monitoring the academic and social progress of key children, providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders where necessary
- Providing a range of learning strategies and ensuring every child can access the full curriculum
- Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
This is a full time (Monday-Friday) and long-term SEND Teaching Assistant position due to last until the end of the year, and this makes it a very rewarding role as you will be able to see the progress your key children make across the school year as a result of your hard work and support.
