SEND Teaching Assistant – Barnet – ASAP Start
A great opportunity is now available for a SEND Teaching Assistant to start a new position in a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in Barnet (North West London).
Joining their friendly and dedicated team of support staff, some of your day-to-day duties as a SEND TA would include:
- Working with and supporting key children on a 1:1 basis to reach the targets on their EHCPs
- Monitoring key children’s progress (academic and social) and providing feedback to senior leaders and class teachers
- Leading or assisting with the delivery of learning interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting children with SEND in an inclusive learning environment
- Ensuring every child is able to access the full curriculum through a range of learning strategies
- Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing
- Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
This is a full time SEND Teaching Assistant role to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm, and is long-term to last until the end of the academic year in 2025. Working with children with SEND is very rewarding, you will get to see first hand the impact your support has on your key children and you will have the opportunity to see how they progress and develop across the school year.
