We’re looking for a Food Technology Teacher Extraordinaire to join us in providing an outstanding education to our students. Your role will be to inspire, motivate and engage our students in the wonderful world of food technology. From basic cooking skills to culinary masterpieces, you’ll be responsible for teaching our students how to create, cook and serve delicious meals that are both healthy and nutritious.

As a Food Technology Teacher Extraordinaire, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your own unique style and creativity to the classroom. Whether it’s teaching students how to make sushi or experimenting with molecular gastronomy, you’ll have the freedom to explore and innovate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality food technology lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Develop lesson plans and schemes of work that meet the needs of students of all abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback that supports their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and staff development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree or relevant professional qualification in food technology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching food technology to students at all levels.
  • A passion for food and cooking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
