Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Art Teacher to join our dynamic team at an Academy in Bushey, Hertfordshire. This is a permanent role suitable for both Art ECT (Early Career Teacher) and experienced Art teachers.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and innovative art lessons to students of mixed abilities, following the national curriculum guidelines.
  • Teach a range of art disciplines, with a particular focus on mixed media and creative techniques.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of our students.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students’ artwork to encourage their artistic growth and development.
  • Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting to parents and senior staff when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider curriculum and school initiatives.
  • Participate in the academy’s professional development programs and seize opportunities for career advancement within the academy chain.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching art, either as an Art ECT or an experienced Art teacher.
  • Passion for art education and a deep understanding of different art disciplines and techniques.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging, innovative, and inclusive art lessons.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in training and workshops.
